Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty is the Founder, Chairman and Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Narayana Health.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Dr. Shetty and his team have performed over 1,20,000 heart surgeries, 40% of them are on children. He also had the privilege of being the personal Physician to Saint Teresa of Kolkata. In 2000, he started Narayana Health (then known as Narayana Hrudayalaya) in Bangalore. We recommend all our international patients and their families to apply for a Medical Visa so as to be able to enter the country without any hassles.
We at Narayana Health will be happy to assist you with visa recommendation letters, in case the need arises.
In case you are being sponsored by an NGO, a corporate, an insurance company etc., it is mandatory that you carry your sponsorship letter with you during the course of your travel.
In case you have transferred funds online, it is also recommended that you carry the transaction receipt with you during your visit to Narayana Health.
Once you have decided upon a travel itinerary, we insist that you forward the same to our international team, who can then prepare for your arrival, as well as arrange for a complimentary pick up from the airport.
On your first day at the hospital, our patient care coordinators will meet you to discuss your case and arrange your appointment with your doctor. You can always contact us for assistance or visit us at the international patients' wing of the hospital.
If you have already transferred funds via wire transfer to the hospital, we request you to share the details of the same. In case you need to exchange your currency for Indian Rupees, you can visit our travel desk and our team will be pleased to assist you.
